Chiapa de Corzo is a short
15 kms from Tuxtla Gutierrez along the highway leading to San Cristóbal de
las Casas. Chiapa de Corzo has several notable colonial structures to
explore. Close by, too, is the Cañón Del Sumidero National Park. This
impressive canyon of the Grijalva River is easily accessible from Chiapa
de Corzo and boat tours leave regularly from the town.
