SPANISH SCHOOLS IN COLOMBIA: CHOOSE A CITY

Bogota. Bogota is full of contrasts. Since it was founded in 1538 untill today it has been growing steadily and shaping its identity. Its typically colonial quality is still evident today. Towards the end of the 19th century, the Spanish style was replaced by other European tendencies. France's influence is evident in many of the palaces built during this period. In the residential areas, the English tendencies are evident in the houses built during the mid-twentieth century. Towards the end of the century, as in most big cities in the world, skyscrapers and huge shopping centres were built, following the North American tradition.  Schools in this city...

Its fortifications were so powerful and extensive Today's Cartagena has preserved the old city and its fortifications. Cartagena, conveniently located on Colombia's Caribbean coast, is a unique city filled with sun, sea and history. Comprised of a series of islands connected by bridges, Cartagena is divided by 17th Century walls into a historic "old city" and a cosmopolitan "modern city."  Schools in this city...

Medellin. With around three million inhabitants in its metropolitan area, this beautiful town with a nice warm climate is located in a deep valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. This is why Medellín has been called “the mountain’s capital” and “the city of eternal spring”.  Schools in this city...
